Guided tours
“Getting ready for tomorrow!”
When? 29 May 2026 from 7.00 pm – 8.10 pm (starting every 10 minutes)
Where? Meeting point: Foyer of the University Library (Universitätsplatz 3a, 8010 Graz)
Registration is possible in advance from 4 May 2026 or on the day, subject to availability.
In an engaging way, academics and students will explore different facets of a democratic society of the future and invite visitors to ask themselves the question: “How do we prepare ourselves for the world of tomorrow?”
And what better place for such a journey than the University Library, a space where democratic values can be experienced first-hand through free access to knowledge?
The guided tours were developed in collaboration with Lucas de Man and the team from La Strada Graz.
Actors from the Pennyless Players will guide visitors on the guided tours between 7.00 pm and 9.00 pm to interactive stations designed by academics and student societies, who use their expertise to offer a unique perspective on the diverse aspects of democracy. A new tour starts every ten minutes, with the last one beginning at 8.10 pm.
Questions such as these will be explored during the guided tours:
If democracy dies, who will solve the murder case?
Will I be able to design my own god in the future?
How do I cultivate my democratic self-awareness?
Is nature the jury of the future?
How effortlessly can I contribute to making the world a better place?
Is talking to one another still the solution of tomorrow?
Have I actually protested today?
How do numbers shape our lives?
Is a fair company automatically a good one?
Will the children of the future still be able to distinguish between good and evil?
