In their production En attendant le grand soir (Waiting for the big night), the French artists of the Compagnie Le Doux Supplice straddle the boundaries between dance and acrobatics. Intimate yet breathtaking scenes merge into moments of great jubilation. En attendant le grand soir is an acrobatic ode to balls, a gentle introduction to celebration. In anticipation of this one moment, this one moment that one would like to hold on to forever, visitors find themselves alongside the artists and are invited to be part of this moment, swept up in the gentle dizziness of dance.
When: 23 May 2025 at 19:30 / Duration: 90 min
Where? Southwest meadow (in front of the main building)
Seats can be reserved online from 22 April 2025.

An extraordinary choir explores the campus with their voices and embarks on a journey of discovery. SoSamma are women with different stories and many languages. Women who build bridges and give space to nuances. Who love to sing together. Many voices, one choir - that's SoSamma. Founded around 20 years ago and under the musical direction of singer Vesna Petković since 2009, SoSamma has become an integral part of the choir scene in Graz.
With her tireless enthusiasm, dedication and creative energy, Vesna Petković has been shaping SoSamma's varied repertoire, which she arranges herself. 60 women from countries such as India, Germany, Great Britain, Bosnia, Serbia, Greece, Sweden, Ukraine, Austria and many more, who have all found their centre of life in Graz and the surrounding area, give the choir its unique sound. What unites them all is their love of music and singing together.

KUNSTLABOR Graz by uniT gets involved in everyday life, places itself in social and educational contexts, intervenes and creates participation. Spaces are created in which people show their uniqueness, enjoyable encounters take place and people work, live and act together artistically. It centres on questions relating to female heritage: what roles have young women experienced along the way and how do they want to carry these into the future?

For the past year, actress and singer Luiza Monteiro from Rio de Janeiro has made Graz her new home. In the process, she has brought her roots to Styria. Longing and curious, she explores her origins anew together with Austrian musicians Thomas Quendler (piano), Johannes Mandl (guitar), Bernhard Potzmann (drums), Gloria Handler (percussion) and bassist Alvis Reid. They go on a journey through Brazilian pop music, starting with the gentle and influential sounds of the bossa nova of the 1950s and ending with the diverse and modern hits of the 2000s.
